MRSI Announces New Professional Standards Committee
Managing Committee
18-09-2025
September 18, 2025; Mumbai, India:

Market Research Society of India’s (MRSI) Professional Standards Committee was originally set up in 2020 with an objective of encouraging the industry to strongly adopt the highest level of professional self-regulation. Over the last 5 years, the committee has become the basis for greater trust between MRSI members, their clients, partners, and the general public. The committee was also responsible for enforcing MRSI’s Code of Conduct that was introduced by the Managing Committee in January 2023.

Following the successful approach by the first committee, MRSI now announces a new committee to further empower the industry by promoting higher standards of research and ethics in market research.

Sathyamurthy Namakkal, Co-founder of AIMO Marketing Services LLP, will continue to Chair the Professional Standards Committee. Anjana Pillai, Partner at Quantum Consumer Solutions and Abhinav Goel, Senior Manager, Consumer & Marketplace Insights at Nestle India, will also continue to serve on the committee as Members.  Priyamvada Sharma,  Global Head - Consumer & Market Insights, at Godrej Consumer Products and Vivek Gupta, Managing Director of Ipsos India, join the committee as Members with immediate effect.

In addition to addressing grievances and issues raised by the Research and Insights industry, the Professional Standards Committee is also responsible for enforcing disciplinary action for members found in violation of the Code. MRSI Code lays out the principles and framework for ethical Research & Insight practice.
