Gaurav Mehta

‘Gaurav Mehta is the Chief Marketing Officer of GirnarSoft, parent company of category leading consumer internet brands like CarDekho, Gaadi, Zigwheels, BikeDekho, Oto.com (Indonesia) amongst others. In his previous employment, Gaurav was Chief Marketing Officer – South Asia & General Manager _ OLX Pakistan for OLX. He drove OLX to become among the most trusted and admired consumer internet brands in both the countries. He was one of the first few employees to have joined OLX, and led marketing initiatives that are responsible for OLX becoming a market leader in a short span of time.

A post graduate in Brand Management and Media Planning from MICA, Gaurav has diverse experience spanning 18 years, which includes 12 years as a leading digital business expert in companies such as Yahoo and OLX. An analytics and research driven marketer, Gaurav has been in the mobile marketing space since 2008, and has also showcased his entrepreneurial streak with his company, BrandDNA, a branding and marketing consultancy.

Under his leadership, OLX emerged as the top ten searched terms by Google Zeitgeist in 2013 and 2014. He was also felicitated with the ‘Marketer of the Year’ award at the second edition of Exchange4Media Indian Marketing Awards in 2015 and Power Profile by LinkedIn in 2016. He was also recognized as ‘Forty under Forty’ by Exchange4Media Group in 2018 & 2019.

He is an avid reader with interest in the field of politics, economics, and history.’

Sharmila Das

Sharmila has been a Researcher for as long as she remembers. Her journey in the world of  Consumer Insights had started more than 3 decades ago and, post learning both Qualitative and Quantitative research, she chose to develop her expertise in Qual. She was in charge of the Qual business for North and South India at the erstwhile Kantar group prior to starting her own venture 11 years ago. Her mantra has been “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. 

Finding patterns in the seemingly diverse, seems to be something Sharmila does effortlessly. We can neither confirm nor deny reports that she chose market research because she was not allowed to pursue her dream of being a Private Investigator.

When she is not racking her brains over research findings and analysis, she likes to soak up the cultural and topical activities happening around her- be it theatre or heritage walks or activities on social issues.

Ratnakar Mani

Ratnakar Mani is Research Lead-India at Amazon, where he has been heading marketing research and measurement for Amazon.in, Pay, Prime Video and Amazon Devices for over four years now.

With a degree in Mathematics and PG from MICA, Ratnakar started his research career with TNS in 2005. His flair for finding unique customer stories from vast, complex, and unstructured data sets to address diverse business needs, took him to analytics and media. For over 15 years, Ratnakar has been the voice of the customer in driving strategic marketing and business decisions for brands across India and Southeast Asia. With interest in brand and communications research and experience in digital and media planning, he has led many innovative solutions in digital measurement and marketing ROI.

Before Amazon, Ratnakar worked in IPG Mediabrands based in Kuala Lumpur for 4.5 years, where he set up the insights and analytics function for the agency.

Manoj Menon

Manoj Menon heads the client servicing team within Kantar, Worldpanel Division. In this role, he is responsible for driving commercial growth, setting strategies for key accounts and ensuring client satisfaction. He has been with Kantar/IMRB for nearly 25 years, a fair spell of which has covered behavioural data analysis. He has worked in different roles across analytics and data mining during his tenure at Kantar.

Shuvadip Banerjee

Biswapriya Bhattacharjee (Biswa) is the Executive Vice President at Kantar He is an Electronics Engineer with a Post Graduation in Management and has more than 20 years of experience across Market Research and B2B Sales & Marketing. 

Currently, Biswa leads the Technology Research practice team in Kantar South Asia. He has a team of senior researchers working with him across both consumer technology and enterprise technology areas. Over the last 18 years at Kantar, Biswa and his team have successfully anchored several industry researches in the area of enterprise technology, consumer technology, electronics & internet including studies on IT Hardware market, Internet & Digital, mobility solutions, software services, enterprise business application, electronic components, cloud services, AI, etc. In addition, he has also led several researches on determining the impact of technology across areas like education, healthcare, lifestyle & entertainment, community, rural upliftment, digital divide, business delivery, etc. He regularly advises leading technology & Digital clients in addressing their marketing goals and also partners them in converting the market research findings into business insights and action plans. 

Biswa has also published several articles in the areas of technology & cloud adoption in SMBs, impact of new IT form factors on urban & rural consumers and on the future of the technology market.
