1. Decision of the selection committee would be final and the MRSI will not be liable for any inconvenience/disputes resulting from the selection committee's decision.
2. MRSI reserves the rights to delete or merge topics outlined in this document in the event of not enough quality submissions for any session.
3. The authors of selected synopses will be requested to submit a detailed research paper as well as MS PowerPoint slides to the judging panel. The paper presentation would be screened once more to confirm it is in line with the synopsis and make the final selection. An NOC will need to be signed by the sponsor if the paper presents data or insights from paid work.
4. All submitted synopsis and presentations become the property of the MRSI and may be used for promotional purposes.

General
Q. What is the reference period for the work to be eligible for synopsis submission?
A. Original work not presented elsewhere and done in the last 2 years (January 2019 to date) is eligible for synopsis submission.
Q. Can I enter work done anywhere in the world?
A. If the work has been done in India, it is eligible for synopsis submission. Or if the work has been done outside of India by a team based in India, it is eligible for synopsis submission. Work done by multi-country teams (excluding subcontracted data collection or moderation) is also eligible for synopsis submission.
Q. Can non-members of MRSI submit synopsis?
A. Yes, the 29th MRSI Seminar is open to members and non-members of the MRSI.
Q. Can I submit entries even if I don’t work directly with MR or Insight?
A. Yes, as long as insight or market research played a key role in your synopsis submission substantiation, you can submit it for the 29th MRSI Seminar.
Q. Can I enter a project/case which is a concept?
A: Yes, it can be a compelling idea at the synopsis stage. Even failures are great.
Q. Can I have multiple synopses?
A. Yes, an organisation or individual can submit multiple synopses.
Q. We are a client and agency team of 3 people. Can we submit as a team?
A. Yes, the online form should mention main contacts up to 10. However, if selected you may acknowledge other team members in your presentation.
Q. Is the synopsis submission supposed to be “Blind" or “Branded"?
A. The document should not carry the name of authors, the name of author’s organisation(s) nor reference to branded tools/ methods which can reveal the identity of the author/ organisation. It can lead to disqualification.
Q. When is the last date for synopsis submission?
A. The last date for submitting your synopsis is 19th June 2021.
Submitting Synopsis
Q. How do I submit my synopsis?
A. The synopsis submission is via our MRSI website (Event tab), click on the “SUBMIT SYNOPSIS" from the left side menu.
Q. What is synopsis submission process?
A. Click on the “SUBMIT SYNOPSIS", add the “Title", select the synopsis theme from the “Topic" dropdown list, add Author’s details and upload the file - Synopsis document in PDF format.
Q. How many synopses can I submit at a time?
A. Entries can be submitted one at a time.
Q. What is in the submission form?
A. It is accessible on the event page at “SUBMIT SYNOPSIS". Ensure that the added information is correct and complete.
Q. What is the format of the synopsis?
A. The synopsis document shall be saved in PDF format. The file shall not exceed 10MB.
Q. Can I attach a website link with my synopsis submission?
A. No. Only PDF document to be uploaded.
Q. I don’t want my synopsis submission form to be presented to the jury in the wrong format. What should I do to ensure this?
A. The synopsis document should not exceed 1500 words. Font used should be “Calibri" size 12 and the line spacing should be 1.5.

A. After you finish inputting all the data requested in the form, click the “Submit" button at the bottom of the form.
Q. Can I confirm my synopsis submission after clicking on the “Submit" button?
A. Yes. A “Submission ID" will be displayed. Please save it.
After submitting synopsis
Q. What happens after I submit my synopsis?
A. All the PDF documents are forwarded to a jury panel of senior professionals for review.
Q. Can a synopsis submission be disqualified?
A. Yes, a synopsis submission can get disqualified due to the following reasons:
1. Work done is not in the reference period.
2. Entry does not meet the synopsis entry requirements.
3. If the submitted synopsis document reveals the name of authors, name of the authors’ organisation(s), reference to branded tools/methods, or mentions the brand names of products or services
Q. Are materials submitted to the 29th MRSI Seminar public?
A. All submitted synopsis become the property of the MRSI and may be used for promotional purposes.
Q: Why should I submit a NOC?
A. An NOC will need to be signed by the sponsor if the paper presents data or insights from paid work.
Q. What if there is a part of my submission that my client or I do not want disclosed to the public?
A. Please DO NOT include confidential information with your submission.
